Your privacy is our priority. Please review how we handle your data across all app features:

1. On-Device Local Storage & Offline Maps

Sensitive personal data—including digital identity documents (passports, e-Visas), custom trip folders, personal bookmarks, expense logs, offline map packages managed by the Download Manager, and recorded videos—is stored securely on your local device.

2. Background Synchronization

Periodic background checks query entitlement licenses and updated danger zones with minimal payloads and strict battery optimization constraints.

3. Google Drive Integration

If you enable Google Drive Auto-Sync, the app requests necessary OAuth scopes to upload video files directly to your personal Google Drive account. We do not access, view, or retain copies of the files synchronized to your Drive.

4. Community Submissions & Cloud Storage

When you submit community photos, ratings, or place reviews, these contributions are stored in Firebase Cloud Firestore and Cloud Storage. We utilize Android's secure Photo Picker, eliminating the need to grant broad media or gallery permissions.

5. Administrative & Aggregated Data

Authorized app administrators have access to platform aggregation metrics and user account status records. This data is processed securely via Firestore solely for account security, spam prevention, and service maintenance.

6. Location & Sensor Data

Location permissions (fine and coarse) are used strictly on-device to render your position, compute directions, calculate nearby distances, and issue danger-zone proximity alerts for local and worldwide safety hotspots. The camera and microphone are accessed solely for recording video locally when initiated by you.

7. Third-Party Services

We partner with Google AdMob (for ads in the free tier), the Google Gemini API (for dynamic country survival guides and intelligent insights), and open exchange rate APIs. These services receive only the minimum anonymous request parameters required.

8. Data Deletion

You can permanently delete all locally stored data at any time through system app storage settings or the in-app database clear function. For cloud-synced account data, you may request complete deletion at any time.
